HARRY F. SMAIL, JR. is the managing owner of his law office in Greensburg. He opened his practice in 1998 after briefly working with Blum, Reiss, & Plaitano, Attorneys at Law, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Mr. Smail's self-motivation in establishing client attorney relationships has enhanced his business, increasing his client base by more than fifty percent each year since his General Practice's inception. His General Practice covers Civil Litigation, Business Planning, Business Formation, Business Law, Family Law (including but not limited to Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Visitation, & Adoption Law), Wills & Estate Planning, Children/Youth Services, Real Estate, Landlord and Tenant Law, Personal Injury, Worker's Compensation, Criminal Law, Parole and Probation, Juvenile Law, Motor Vehicle Violations, License Suspensions, Driving While Intoxicated, Oil and Gas, Department of Environmental Protection Issues, Elder Law and Employment Law.

Mr. Smail received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a duel degree in Business Administration - Marketing, and Political Science - Pre-Law from Grove City College in 1988. He finished his Juris Doctorate at Duquesne University Law School in 1997. He graduated from the Evening Program as a full time law student attending five nights a week, while maintaining a full time Officer's position in the Westmoreland County Adult Probation/Parole Office.

While earning his J.D., Mr. Smail maintained a career as an Adult Probation and Parole Office for Westmoreland County for over five years. His strong leadership ability and interpersonal communication skills provided for great success in his endeavor to become a lawyer. Professional communication with judges, lawyers and persons from all society levels additionally provided a strong base for his practice.

Mr. Smail has extensive experience with all facets of processing the law, from supervising, tracking, prosecuting and releasing probationers and parolees to now defending and representing an expansive amount of court appointed and private cases in a myriad of legal areas.

Mr. Smail's professional affiliations are or have been with the Westmoreland, Allegheny and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, American Inns of Court, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, The Federalist Society, Pennsylvania Association on Probation, Parole and Correction, Westmoreland Lodge 518 F. & A.M., Brotherhood of the Fraternal Order of the Elks, the Rotary Clubs of Mountain View and Greensburg, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Pennsylvania and Westmoreland County Republican Committees.

Mr. Smail is the son of the late Harry F. Smail, Sr. and Sally (Elliott) Smail, of Greensburg. Mr. Smail was born in Greensburg on February 21, 1966, and has been a lifelong resident of his hometown, where he now provides a loving home for his daughters Alexa and CaiLeana, and his radiant wife Rene.
